PITTSBURGH MURAL PROJECT

Squirrel Hill based artists group Inspire Collective collaborate with local graphic designer behind the "Stronger Than Hate" image, Tim Hindes, to create murals across the city.

The "Stronger Than Hate" PGH Mural Project has a goal of at least 11 public space murals across the city, one for each of the victims of the 10/27/18 mass-shooting at Tree of Life synagogue in Squirrel Hill...we have the will, the compassion, and the inspiration, we just need your support! Whether its walls, paint, time and energy, or money, your donation will help all of Pittsburgh to say, we are STRONGER THAN HATE!

ABOUT US

INSPIRE Collective and Tim Hindes

INSPIRE Collective is a husband and wife team of public art exhibition curators who work with a wide variety of mediums and artists in order to organize public art exhibitions.  We have spent the last 15 years  in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv  as an inspired art activist collective, but now that we have returned to Pittsburgh, we wish to use our skills to work towards a positive social climate through creativity, the overemphasis of art, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit to oppression.   Being art activists with roots in Squirrel Hill and Tree of Life, after the events  on October 27th it became clear to us what our role would be in speaking out against hate in our area: to help create city-wide murals making clear statements about our community's collective stand against sensless violence and hate within Pittsburgh and international communities as well.  We are people who know that cooperation is magic...INSPIRE Collective is proud to be collaborating with Tim Hindes, the creator of the "Stronger Than Hate" image, on this project.  Within a few days of the tragedy, it was obvious his image and statement should be used for the mural project and Tim agreed.

As a Pittsburgh creative, Tim Hindes developed the viral Stronger Than Hate image that spread globally in response to the tragic act of hate conducted on October 27, 2018 at the Tree of Life synagogue in Squirrel Hill. Tim is active in the nonprofit and creative worlds, serving as CEO of TrailBlaze Creative, a marketing firm that collaborates with community advocates to develop creative marketing solutions for positive change.
